what is editn_env document list?

Hi all,
We are invoking a service through a processing rule to process all X12 document.The first step we do is to check whether editn_env[0] is null or not.
What is editn_env?
please reply.Where can I find details on it? and what does it has to do with the bizdoc?

editn_env is the TN variable that you get/avialable in the pipeline this contains starting with EDI envelope information also when you defined your processing rule criteria based on the X12Envelope documenttype.

editn_env (for X12Envelope)
editn_grp (for X12Group)
editn_txn (for X12TransactionSet)
