This is just an observation.
For Trading network Installation , If the Database is configured to point to an external database then, the init.xml needs to be imported into the schema. But i have noticed that even after doing this step the Unknown Doctype is not created.
Due to which the “Unknown” Type of documents are lost.
To resolve this, one needs to create this Doc Type explicitly. Ideally the init.xml should have created this !
