Predict for natural 9 installation on unix AIX system

Hello,

my system admin just installed Predict from the sag installer on our new AIX development server.
When I log on natural, SYSDIC librairy, I have the following screen :

SYSDIC1347 DIC1347 THE PREDICT INPL DID NOT TERMINATED SUCCESSFULLY.

The start of Predict is rejected.

The current Predict file (FDIC)

File number … 260

The current Natural file (FNAT)
Database number … 21
File number … 21

I tried to reload Predict objects with the utility INPL, but the result is the same.

I also tried to use the SYSPCI utility to initialize the predict adabas files as mentionned in the install documentation, but I have an error 127 from the command SHCMD during the process :

  • Loaded Adabas file with DBID 40 FNR 262 for product PRD

  • Loaded Adabas file with DBID 40 FNR 263 for product PRD
  • Updated Natural parameter file PRDPARM and set FDIC to DBID 40 FNR 262
  • Updated Natural parameter file NATPARM and set FDIC to DBID 40 FNR 262
  • Updated Natural parameter file NSCPARM and set FDIC to DBID 40 FNR 262
  • Natural parameter file NBSPARM not found, update not possible.
  • Natural parameter file NOMPARM not found, update not possible.
  • Natural parameter file NOPPARM not found, update not possible.
  • Natural parameter file NEEPARM not found, update not possible.
  • Error during INPL of initialization program: Return code = 127 from SHCMD

Did I miss something ? Is this issue due to an incorrect installation on the unix system or a bad parameter on natural/adabas ?

Value 127 is returned by your shell /bin/bash when any given command within your bash script or on bash command line is not found in any of the paths defined by PATH system environment variable. The solution is to make sure that the command you are using can be found within your $PATH.

Please have a look into the log file of the SYSPCI utility: /Natural/INSTALL/syspcilog.txt.
Maybe you can find the reason in this file.

thanks for your answers. I know that return code 127 from unix is when a command is not found, but I can’t find this command even in the syspcilog file.
I understand that the syspci is used to configure the predict adabas files but is it normal to have predict version 0.0 before launching this utility ? I think there’s already something wrong before this step.
