Can you re-run the Database Component Configurator 9.6 do the below;

1> drop and create
2> You can still start MWS without the external RDBMS.
3> Still having issues, uninstall completely and start over.

Thanks Mahesh,

I tried those instructions already but still no luck…!!

And mws.db.xml file having correct values and DB is up and running fine, executed db scripts successfully as well.

do you know how to delete default mws instance and create a new one?

Hi, I am having the same issue.
Local installation, Windows 8,
IS server installed and running fine, (Broker Monitor, Broker Server, IS server all running fine)
Oracle XE 11g installed and running fine
MWS - I have checked the DB setting and looks correct, I have done an uninstall and re-install, here is the first FATAL error similar to above, i.e.

If you are getting those errors on the first startup of a new installation then it is likely that the database you are pointing at is not empty and contains data from some previous install attempt.

To resolve it you would have to either point at a new fresh database or drop and re-create the database you are pointing at and try starting up again.

thanks - dropped the database using the webMethods database component configurator. Then created the database again… and my webMethods server started.
