I have a tamino server installation on one of my linux servers. I want to install just two tools on my windows desktop machine:
Tamino X-plorer and Tamino Schema Editor.
But the installation process automatically installs Tamino SMH, CS Layer etc etc… which I think are unnecessarily occupying some ports and doing nothing for me. Isn’t it possible to install only the tools that I require?
Best regards,
Gopal
Tamino version: 4.4.1
OS: Windows XP Professional SP3
Yes, it continued to install… but not just the tools, but also SMH, CS Layer etc. etc, which I don’t think are doing anything on my machine except for occupying some ports, and possibly some space on the disc. For example, there are three services Software AG CS Layer, MI Layer, Event Layer which are installed and are starting every time the machine starts and are continuously running. Without any purpose, if I understand correctly. Correct me if I am wrong, are they needed at all?
You are right, the tools do not need these services.
For the next Service Pack of Tamino v8 it is planned to have separate installations for the tools.
