Troubles with ADABAS Community Edition

Dear Software AG sirs,

I’m having some trouble during Adabas Community Edition instalation.
The file that I download from your email’s link doesn’t have the xml file with license key.
I need this to activate and start the database.

I’m having this message during database start:

Reading configuration data from C:\Arquivos de programas\Software AG\Adabas\db012\DB012.INI

Can someone help me please?

Thank all,

Douglas M. Furukawa

Hi Douglas,

To my knowledge in v6.1 you don’t need a license file. If no license file Adabas will run in restricted mode (= Community Edition).

Try to remove the license file and see what happens.

Best regards,
Mogens

Hello Mogens,

It worked! First I deactivated the license, then I tried to start again…and for my happiness, it started!

Now, the next step is to see and discover more about Adabas for Windows ( Actually I work with Adabas for Mainframe! )

Thanks a lot! =D

Douglas, you’re welcome.

It could look as your license file was for an older version.

Best regards,
Mogens
