The search function is an extremely useful tool. Oftentimes, the question you have on your mind has been asked several times. By using the search, you can get a much quicker response with more information.
In this short guide, weโll walk you through the Search functionality of the Software AG Discussion forums.
Main search functionality
Wherever you go in the Tech Forums you can search for anything that might interest you through the search button on top:
Once you write down a keyword, top related results will appear under the field.
To refine your search, just hit enter and a screen with all results will appear to you.
You can sort the listed results by:
- Relevance
- Latest Post
- Most Liked
- Most Viewed
- Latest Topic
Advanced Search
After you land on the Search page you can use the Advanced search feature to filter the results even further.
Use the Posted by feature to define the forum member answers you are searching through.
From the Categorized drop-down menu, you specify in which category you are looking for information.
From the Tagged menu you can pick specific tag that corresponds to your needs. Donโt hesitate to select more than one tag โ it can greatly help you narrow down the results that are useful to you.
You can decide to look for either of the selected tags or a combination by clicking on the All the above tags checkbox.
Also, a useful feature to locate the needed information through the search is to define where topics that you are looking for have been posted
Define Where topics are open, closed, public, archived, contain single user, have no replies or are being solved.
Of course, you can refine the search by date โ use it when you want the displayed results to be Posted before or after a selected date.
