Release or Invert not working Predict 4.1.2 UNIX

I cannot release or invert a descriptor using UNIX Predict 4.1.2. Should this work on this release? (I can do it on another box with Predict 4.3.2).
If so what could be missing in our environment?

Since Predict 4.2 the Generate Adabas File function is able to adapt existing FDTs to the documentation in Predict. This includes release and invert descriptors.
