Post Install issue - [connection refused: connect].

Hi all,

I am a newbee, installed CentraSite (v3.1.5). Looked like installation all went fine. When I tried to start ->CentraSite Control - web dialog comes up with and error “connection refused: connect”, details java exception stack is pasted down below.

I took off windows firewall altogether and no other softwares like Zonealarm or Nortan running. I tried to look at the logs, and did not find any thing why it is failing or no log detail.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Meher

Hello Meher,
sorry to hear that things did not go all well. Did you check if the underlying database is running at all? This can be done by choosing CentraSite → Administration from the Start Menu and checking out if under Registry/Repository the database is started (green traffic light). If not, please start it manually and post the error message if any comes up.
Regards,
Gerald

Hallo Meher,
another thing came to my mind. If you install CentraSite with a network connection and then later use it without one I sometimes see a similar problem. Please restart the Software AG Tomcat in order to get around this. However, the database will not be affected by this and must be running.
Regards,
Gerald
