Need help with Archive data from SQL Table

We are using IS 6.5 and SQL as our DB. From the WM Documentation, we identified there are two ways that we can archive the data from Audit and Process tables. 1 is using the flow service and other is using the store procedure.
We invoked both process one by one, but it takes 24 hours to archive 3 Gig of data. Can someone please tell us a better or efficient way to archive the data.
