Database clean up

Hi,

We are using wM 6.5 and using Oracle 10g for logging.
For Audit log there is no mechanism in our implementation to archive or delete the data.
We want to know if we can go ahead and simply take back up of the data from tables WMERROR,WMSESSION and WMSERVICE tables.Will it impact other things?
Can you please suggest some better ans tested idea to delete/archive old data from these tables?
