IS canbt start

When i start server.bat, IS starts, create the lockFile and stop after about 20s. The lockfile is deleted. And the “java.exe” process disappears.

Of course, then, I am unable to start the administrator page (http://localhost:5555) or to lon on the developer…

Try turning up the logging level and starting from a command line. Get a command prompt and run the following from the IS bin folder:

server.bat -log none -debug 6

You will get more detailed log messages and should be able to determine the problem.

the previous log file was at debug level 6.

I can show you the log at debug 10, but I can’t see any errors in it …

It’s not necessary to post the log file at debug 10 if "[ISS.0028.0001C] Loading packages " is the last entry.

Did you start from a command prompt, or as a Windows service?

It is a command prompt. I tried with server.exe and server.bat but no-one is working.

When I launched server.exe i got the message
C:\Program Files\webMethods6\IntegrationServer\bin>server.exe
Program (“C:\ProgramFiles\webMethods\IntegrationServer\bin\server.bat”) launched.

With netstat, I cannot see any listening on port 5555.

IS doesn’t start listening on port 5555 until the very end of start up process. It looks like your problem is loading the packages.

Since you are not seeing anything after “Loading Packages”, it’s impossible to know which package is causing the problem. I assume this is true at debug level 10 too.

The way I would try to resolve this is by removing all the packages you created. Leave the Wm packages in place. Try to restart. If successful, add one of your packages, shutdown the IS, then restart. Continue this process until you find the offending package.

I should have said this sooner, but I assume this is a dev or QA instance of IS, not a production instance. If this is a production issue, contact webMethods immediately!

I re-install webWebmethods with less packages and now it works fine !

Hi all,

Even I have the same problem as of olivier pasteur.
But my server is in UNIX,

when trying to start the server, server just stating and going down on its own with in 20 seconds, could see lock file getting created and disappearing on its own.
My last log is not Loading packages, its in Package manger started.

could not even see the java or IS processes.
