When using version 7 of the IDL extractor for Natural, the dropdown option for selecting the STEPLIB was available. However in version 8 (Eclipse) this is not available. As a result, when trying to extract IDL’s for which the object code is not in the same library as the source, the extractor lists the program as “No IDL generation is possible because the object is not available”. Is there a way around this without providing the object code in the same library?

Just select the library which contains the object - then you can perform the extraction.
