Doubt regarding the EDI Format

Hi All,
My client has asked to convert the Purchase Order to the EDIFACT 850 flat file using SAP Business Connector. But as per my understanding, 850 is the format of orders in X12 standard and EDIFACT has another format. I am not able to understand the requirement clearly. Could anyone clarify my doubt?

Yes, you are right.850 is an EDI X12 format.may be the client meant to convert to EDIFACT format and it was a typo.

In EDIFACT it is ORDERS and X12 Standard is 850 may be a typo from ur clients email?but if client is a european company then EDIFACT ORDERS is definite…
