Developer freezing while executing the FTP "put" command

Hi,

I am trying to connect to remote server via Explicit FTPs and drop the files. There are the steps i need to perform to transfer the file

  1. login
  2. cd
  3. quote routing
  4. put
  5. logout.

First 3 steps were sucessful and “Put” service just hangs up, and i press F9 after long wait. It says socket connection timed out.

Can someone help me in identifying it is a problem from our end or at the remote server. Please reply ASAP.

How large is the file you are trying to put?

Hi Carda,
Files are just 1 KB.

I have resolved this issue by changing the transfer type to “Passive”.
