Connecting to the AS400 IFS

Has anyone been able to connect to the AS400’s Intergrated File System (IFS)? We need to retrieve a number of files from the AS400’s IFS, manipulate the data slighty then send them to a NT server share.

Have you tried using Client Access Express? It provides Java access to most areas on AS400 - among others also to the IFS. You will probably have external classes intended for use in wM, or pieces of Java code in wM.
