The file “eclipse_emf_common.jar” exists in that directory and is not write-protected.
When I open the file “misclib.xml” 19.03.2003 13:20 with an xml-Editor (xmlspy 5.0) I get the error message that “This file is not well-formed”!
If you have a solution for this problem, please reply
Thanks and best regards,

Hi,
Usually deletes of jar files fail because the jar files are in use. Is Tomcat running on your system? If so, can you close it and retry the installation?
The misclib.xml file contains multiple “target” definitions which are not wrapped in a pair of “container” tags, so the file is not well-formed, but I don’t think that’s really a problem.
Cheers.
Hi Joachim,
X-Application does not work with Tomcat 4.1.27 immedialtely.
X-Application is tested with Tomcat 4.1.18. Please refer to this post http://tamino.forums.softwareag.com/viewtopic.php?p=14200, here you’ll receive information, how to configue
Tomcat Version above 4.1.18.
I hope this will help you

Hi Bill,
you are right. When I shutdown tomcat the setup.cmd builds the X-Application successfully.
Thanks a lot
Joachim
Hi Thorsten,
thanks for this Information. When I configure Tomcat 4.1.27 to support Xerces 2.1 most of the X-Application examples are working. But some of the “Examples For Plugins” and the “X-Application Generator Link” still fails. Should I try to use Tomcat 4.1.18 instead?
Bye
Joachim
Hi Joachim,
in order to stand on the safe side, I would recommend to use Tomcat 4.1.18. Because it is tested with it and it works really fine with it.
Bye Thorsten
