urgt ... tamino disk space and amt of storage

hi

can some one pls help me whether i m able to store 10MB,100MB and 1 GB xml document in tamino database

and how do i come to know that how much disk space that paritcular document or documents taken within database

Hi!

In principle Tamino is able to store documents of any size if it has enough disk space. Another question is if it is a good idea to store that big documents. Tamino works best for “medium” sized documents with several KB of data per document.

In general you need the size of document of disk space to store it. Additionally you need space to store index data which depends on the number and complexitiy of the indices defined.

The easiest way to find out is to try: store your test documents in different databases each and then look how much of the assigned disk space is used.
