The page WebSphere MQ Adapter is not loading properly

Hi Folks,

We observed an unusual behavior in one of our PROD IS page, the other one is absolutely fine, where we don’t see the below page loading properly:

Adapters > WebSphere MQ Adapter > Connections

Here the problem is the options of enable, edit, view, copy and delete the connections are not coming properly, which can be seen in attached screenshot.

As never faced the issue not sure what to do with it if reloading packages like WmART or MQAdapter can fix the issue?

Regards,

Sanket

Hi Sanket,

which version of IS are you on?

Please make sure that you have applied the latest Fixes for ART for your current IS Version as well as for the MQ Adapter.

Regards,
Holger

Hi Holger,

Thanks for your response. We are using 9.12. We have deleted the MQAdapter from the server having the issue and installed the same from other server, working fine.

After the restart of IS now options are coming as expected, but still wondering what exactly can spoil the options in IS UI?

It might be due to corrupt files in the package. Installing the Wm Adapter package from other server is not a good practice and this should be installed via the installer.

Did you try a reload package prior installing it from another server, I presume that will work.

Thank you for your valuable inputs M@he$h …

That is not wM in-built WmMQAdapter package. It was custom package with name MQAdapter.

Hi Sanket,

can you inform us on which ADK/IMDK version your custom package was built?

When built on ADK 6.5 or newer there should not be an issue, but for earlier versions you should consider to migrate to regular product Adapter MQ Adapter 6.5 (aka WmMQAdapter). This one is officially supported by SAG Global Support, the custom package is not.
Additionally the custom package might not be compatible with current libs of IBM MQSeries or lacking support for TLS security instead of SSL security.

Are there any messages in server.log or error log when starting the server or reloading the package?

Regards,
Holger

Hi Holger,

Below is the MQ details. And we have not any message pertaining to that weird behavior of page Adapters > WebSphere MQ Adapter > Connections

Description - WebSphere MQ Adapter
Adapter Version - 6.5
Updates - MQS_6.5_Fix40
JCA Spec Version - 1.0
Vendor Name- webMethods

Further, the issue has been resolved after copying the package from well-behaving server.

Regards,

Sanket

Sanket,

For the details above, it does not sound its a custom adapter package built around ADK, can you check and verify.
