Hi there,
I’m new to Tamino and try to get a test installation running on RedHat7.2. I’ve installed JRE1.3 and apache 1.3.19 from the Tamino Server CD.
Towards the end of installing the System Management Hub I get the following message in ARGv221Inst.dbg:
> …
> Pre-update registry…
> Sun Jan 12 09:48:03 CET 2003 Software AG
> System Management Hub Registry Utility
> SMH for Linux Intel

> Sun Jan 12 09:48:13 CET 2003 Timeout occured; sent another empty line…

The timeout message repeats every 10s until I cancel the installation by pressing the abort button. As far as I can tell the rest of the installation runs without any serious errors, but it is not possible to connect to SMH via http://localhost:9991/smh/login.htm
Any hints on possible causes of this problem are greatly appreciated.
TIA … Michael
What version of Tamino are you using? I presume that this is the first time that an attempt has been made to install Tamino on this box?
Kind regards,
Simon
Hi Simon,
thanks for your reply.
Tamino version is 3.1.1.7 (2002-06-17). I’ve repeated my install attempt several times now, but this problem occured right from the start. Before trying a new installation I remove all the content from within /opt/sag, just keeping the license file in /opt/sag/install. I also remove the apache modules from /usr/local/apache/libexec and restore the old httpd.conf. In /etc/rc.d/init.d there is only one Tamino related script: sagxts.
I’ve never seen the other ones which the docs mention: sagargml, sagarg, sagargev.
Best regards … Michael
