Tamino and Tomcat

Hi There

Just wondering if anyone has ever configured Tamino to run under Tomcat.

Abdul

Hi Abdul,

Although Tomcat can serve static HTML, its speciality is serving jsp and servlet pages. Apache is a more specialised html server. So the normal configuration is to install both Apache and Tomcat, then link them using mod_jk or similar. With this configuration the Tamino filter (ApacheModuleIno) is installed under Apache, and Apache serves your Tamino content.

Thanks Bill. I was hoping I’d get away with one less server.

Somewhat puzzled here …

The use of Tamino under Tomcat is a non starter anyway. There is no Tamino filter/plugin for Tomcat, only for Apache (and other http servers).

Unless you know otherwise?

Kind regards,

Simon
