Rest calls not working with Certificate based Auth

Hi All,
We are using webMethods Integration Cloud from more than 2 years and we have observed that the REST calls from the REST API doesn’t allow Certificate based data exchange where as the Http invoke based rest calls does allow certificate based data exchange?

can some one help me on this topic?
