Hello,

i have to create a lecture about Metadata Management. For an example i have to show how Metadata Management is realized by the products of Software AG. Are there any prerequisites to realize Metadata Management? Where can Metadata Management be used, what are potentials?
Since i have little knowledge about those products, i would like to ask you for help.
From what i have read, Metadata Management is somehow realized by Tamino, since it uses XML.
Where should i look for information? Does anyone know about some official documents from SW AG or other scientific papers?

Metadata management is a bit of an opened ended topic.

XML schema could be considered one form of metadata that Tamino understands, stores and uses.

CentraSite could also be considered a metadata repository.

wikipedia is not a bad place to start
