listener error - Not enabling

Hi,

we have a problem where we’re not able to enable a SAP listener. This listener was working fine for the past few months.

we have a SAP connection enabled. Here is the error when enabling the listener.

we tried to work with SAP team and network team but no luck.

Any suggestions or clues?

Is SAP and WM installed on same machine ? 127.0.0.1 means localhost.

hostname ‘127.0.0.1:64999’

we’re able to fix this issue but couldn’t able to find the root cause. the fix is that we restarted the unix servers.

Is this happened all sudden or sporadic?

Did your sysadmin/Basis need to visit the unix folders /etc/ and update the hosts/services file?

HTH,
RMg

Even we are aslo facing the same issue with sap listeners & connections ( i.e. SAP listeners & connections are not enabling after restart , we are manually enabling them) , any advise why it is happening???

Hi Venkatesham,

what is your IS version, SAP Adapter version, JCo version?
Are there any Fixes applied?

Any messages in the server.log during startup related to this?

Are the node.ndf writeable by the user used to run the IS?.
If not the new state (enabled = yes) cannot be persisted for next restart.

Regards,
Holger
