Can not call it a problem but still can anyone explain:
when i invoke a IS server using http:\<servername>:<port> Server Root page doesnot come, but when i use http:\<servername>:<port>\WmRoot , server root page appears…

I am able to access IS Admin root page using this http:\<servername>:<port>,can you elaborate a bit more.

I guess this happens when packages\Default\pub\index.html is deleted. I am not sure if its the Default package but had experienced this
not to worry, every thing is same other than a little longer url.
A redirection towards /WmRoot/index.dsp in the correct package would solve the issue
