Is it possible to define a schema WITHOUT a doctype?

Hello everyone!

I have a schema that holds elements that I will only refer to from other schemas (I will always import this schema).

Hence I have no need nor desire to assign a doctype to this schema and consequently having to have to link one top element to the doctype.

Is it therefore possible to define the schema into Tamino without having to have to define a doctype?

Thank you

Sure. The schema editor will prompt you as if this were an error, but just go ahead and define it anyway. I’ve done this and it works.

(You do have to assign it to a collection, though.)

Oh man! Haven’t thought about that one!

It worked, thanks!
