Insertion proble in JDBC

hi,

1. hw to insert batch data in JDBC such that data must be inserted only when the first query in sql is successfully executed and others must be executed?
2. hw do u format flat files?
3. whether the segments of EDI is fixed or variable?

Narendra,
Can you be more specific what you wnat to achieve.

1. It is better that complex sql processing is done in Oracle as stored procedures.
2. Use flat file format service. Register the transformation you want as flat file service and then invoke in yr flat file schema.
   3)its both delimited and fixed length. Header ISA segment is fixed lengh
   whereas transaction segments are delimited.

At least Narendra was smart enough to come to this forum for the answers. I would not call it scamming if you are going for a particular position and including a plus knowledge of webMethods IS, TN, EDI Module, etc helps you. I mean an understanding of general programming can take you far in writing a simple service. The tricks are learned from the documentation (on-site) and the first level training classes (employer paid?). If the interviewer can’t tell someone is faking it, they should have called PS to get their solutions done. There are employers that will try to skimp on the experienced workers for someone with a partial quick answer sheet. So if you can get through many of the posts on this website, you should have a 10% text-book/practical understanding of what happens in some of the webMethods products. Beyond that, it is hard to pull the wool over the eyes of someone not incompetent. I do, however; like knowledgeable people working with or around me, so study hard everyone. Good day.
