I am bran[d] new to EntireX, but I’d like to make calls from a Java application. I have a couple of questions that I just can’t find answers to that should be painfully obvious.
First, the documentation makes reference to the entirex.jar file - where is that? Where can I get it? Do I really need to install EntireX to develop against the library?

If you want to make calls to EntireX then you obviously need an EntireX installation somewhere. If EntireX is already installed somewhere in your company (on Windows or Unix) you can use the entirex.jar file from that installation.
in the same installation, there are also sample programs to call EntireX, including Java programs.
