Getting response 17 from FASTABM

I wrote a review report to trap errors. We’re getting a lot of response 17 errors (subcode 11) from a job (AFPABMP) that executes FASTABM. We usually get the error every 2 or 3 minutes. The command being issued is an LF, against a file (151) that is not loaded in the database.

Is there some reason FASTABM wants to read this file? Is there something I can do to correct this?

Hi,

I suspect there is a Fastpath optimization rule defined in the Fastpath configuration for this (non-existent) file. Fastpath must access the FDT (via LF command) for all optimized files. If it gets an unavailability indication then it will retry periodically.

You need to remove the unnecessary rule in the administration center (SYSAFP).
