Dear Team,

We have published the SOAP WS service to Mediator and API Portal successfully and we can see the published API on API Portal, while executing the API “Try API” I am unable to get the response as it is throwing the below error:

“Exception”: “Mediator encountered an error:Mediator outbound client encountered Error while processing the REST to SOAP transformation in Mediator. The JSON string in the request is empty. while executing operation:addIntegers service:APIDemo_VS at time:9:46:01 PM on date:Apr 3, 2017. The client ip was:::1. The current user:Administrator. The consumer application:DemoConsumer”
}

Please let me know if this error is due to Mediator or something related to API portal itself. Moreover, the native service expects SOAP request whereas the API on the API portal sends REST (JSON request). Does Mediator transform the request to SOAP by itself or should we write a transformation service. Kindly share your inputs.

OOTB API portal only supports REST resources or it can also support SOAP so that when I publish a native SOAP service I can see a SOAP resource on the API portal.

We did fix this issue via SAG fix and I don’t remember the fix levels exactly.

Hello,

I met the same issue with Mediator (Centrasite 9.12). what is the level fix please ?
When fix installed, does Mediator transform the request to SOAP by itself or should we write a transformation service.
Kindly share your inputs.
