Demo Database

Hi,

How do I create the demo database? I am using ADABAS 6…1.4 on Windows Vista. I can’t see any create demo database icon on my installation folder or on my desktop. Please help

From DBA Workbench:

. Database
. New …
. Specify DBID & Name; check Load Demofiles (under Miscellaneous); click OK

This works for Windows and Linux.

The download finally worked. Now have an issue with setting up the sample database.

I am running the following command:

C:\ProgramData\Software AG\Adabas\V618\bin\demodb>loadall.bat

I am getting the following error for each data file it’s trying to load:

The network name cannot be found.
emp
\db001\assign.bat does not exist.
emp_nat
\db001\assign.bat does not exist.
veh
\db001\assign.bat does not exist.
mis
\db001\assign.bat does not exist.

I have no idea what the issue would be. Has anyone else encountered this?

The directory does exist and the .ini file is pointing to the proper directory.
