The data base must be active.

START menu
→ Software AG
→ Start Command Prompt
→ adabas dbid=1

Thanks a lot.When I active the data base I got the same error.

Does file 5 already exist in database 1? Try specifying a new file number and let Adabas Manager create it for you.
