I am using Enterprise Server 4.1.
I noticed that when there has been no activity on Enterprise Server for 5-6 hours, then the next event processing takes more than 10 mins. However, subsequent event processing takes less than 15 sec.
Is there some settings/configuration by which we can reduce this initial event processing time.

I may be way off base but I would suspect swapping by the OS rather than ES settings. What is the OS? What else is running on the box? How much memory is there? Are you running a bunch of adapters on the broker box? Is the adapter that is supposed to publish the next event polling for work every ‘n’ minutes? More information will help us zero in on the cause of the delay.
