Software AG officially announces the deprecation of all versions of the webMethods Integration Cloud product from the 31st of December 2022.
Is webMethods Outdated?
No. webMethods Integration Cloud has been superseded by our iPaaS integration product, webMethods.io Integration.
webMethods.io Integration:
- Offers a wider range of features and functionality compared to webMethods Integration Cloud, including support for no-code automation, hundreds more connectors, and support for node.js
- Has a much more modern and intuative user experience
- Provides greater scalability and Flexibility, being built on a cloud native architecture.

- Future proofs your integration platform with a focus on cloud-native architectures and microservices, making it better position to adapt to changes in technology and trends over time.
Why is Software AG making this change?
webMethods Integration Cloud has been superseded by webMethods.io Integration, which was launched in 2018, and is part of our wider webMethods.io iPaaS platform, offering a huge number of improvements and new capabilities reaching significantly beyond the capabilities of webMethods Integration Cloud, including code, low-code and no-code approaches to building integrations and automation.
What is changing?
webMethods Integration Cloud (v7.0) released April 2021 is the final release of Integration Cloud. This announcement informs that webMethods.io integration will now be our main iPaaS integration product and webMethods Integration cloud will be deprecated from the 31st of December 2022.
While webMethods.io Integration will continue to be offered , on the 31st of December 2023 webMethods Integration Cloud will be discontinued along with the SaaS service decommissioned.
This change DOES NOT affect webMethods.io Integration.
What does it mean to you?
If you DO NOT use webMethods Integration Cloud, this change does not affect you in any way, and no action is required.
If you are currently using webMethods Integration Cloud SaaS in any of our Software AG Cloud regions:
- The SaaS service will be terminated in all regions on 31st December 2023
- We recommend reaching out to your local account team or CSM, to organize a migration from webMethods Integration Cloud to webMethods.io Integration.
If you are currently using webMethods Integration Cloud SaaS in a private data center:
- webMethods Integration Cloud v7.x will continue to be supported through till 31st of December 2023, however no subscriptions will be extended beyond the end of this date.
- We recommend reaching out to your local account team or CSM, to organize a migration from webMethods Integration Cloud to Software AG’s hosted webMethods.io Integration.
