WebDAV problem

Hello!

I was trying to load an xml file that is stored in a Tamino DB.

I specified the name of the db and hit browse in the Open URL… dialog box when I get an HTTP error saying that that the server does not support WebDAV…any ideas as to what should be done or what I’m doing wrong?

Please let me know and help me out!

Thank you very much in advance,
Syed

Hi Syed,

where did you specify the DB name? Which client do you use?
If yo try to access Tamino WebDAV Server via MS File Explorer, you first have to create a webfolder pointing to the webDAV Server (not the DB!), normally http://yourHost/taminowebdavserver (if you have Apache installed) or http://yourHost:4000/taminowebdavserver, if no Apache is available.
You then have to create so called stores, that access Tamino collections.
If you want to access existing documents, you have to enable them. Please refer to the documentation how to do that.

Best regards,
Martin

Thank you very much for the response!

And I’m sorry for being vague in my question.

I tried to load an xml document stored in Tamino onto XML Spy. I specified the URL in the Open URL… dialog box from the File menu of the XML Spy but got the error saying the server does not support WebDAV which is required for this operation.

Any ideas???

Hi,

which URL did you specify in the open box of XML Spy?

Martin
