Hi Guys,

We are planing to migrate our applications which are currently running on wM 8.2.1 to wM 9.0/9.5. Can you provide the changes/enhancements to the below components. Documentation is having lot of details.

Integration Server
Trading Networks
JMS Messaging
wM Broker
CAF Framework

Regards,
Satish Devineni

Not sure if you have the answers to your broad questions or not? Can you try and formulate more specific questions? For example, differences in a specific WM component? Administration / Developer (code), Installation, Configuration, related differences?

@Satish,

Please go through this link. It will give you details in brief.

HTH.

  1. Apply latest SP on 8.2
  2. Go for side by side install using Migration Utility
  3. Update the deprecated elements

In-Flight and Historical transaction data movement will be a challenge ; you may not get 100% sync w.r.t data.
but other MetaData can be 100% migrated

Good luck

Hello guys

Hi Naren,

You can find the Upgrade GUide at “http://techcommunity.softwareag.com/ecosystem/documentation/webmethods/wmsuites/wmsuite9-5_sp1/SysReqs_Installation_and_Upgrade/9-5_Upgrading_webMethods_Products.pdf” which describes the complete procedure to upgrade from 82 to 95.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Guys,

we are migrating from 9.5 to 9.6 but here what my query is due to migration is there any coding disturbance will happen or not.Pls help me in this our client wants to upgrade from 9.5 to 9.6 so if there are any precautions need to be taken for coding we will do that.

Thanks,
Anil Kumar

You have to refer the readme, release notes and BIS for 9.5 and 9.6 to see deprecated/alternate services.

Hello,

Can i have feed back of any one thaht upgraded from 8.2 to 9.x specially for service development (jdc adapters , as4000, dataqueeu … )and TN configuration(processing rules…MDN …Content type (octet stream…)) and what kind of probleme you have

Thanks in advance .

Hi Omar,

all the hints given previously apply to your request.

To avoid too many update hops I suggest that you either migrate to 9.5 or 9.8, from both you can upgrade to 9.12.

10.0 is a feature release with limited support period. Next regular release will be 10.1 scheduled for late October 2017.

Regards,
Holger

Hello,

Thank you Holger for your replay .

We will try that as soon as possible
