The Software AG annual North America User Groups TechEd Conference, held in Rosemont, IL April 21-22, was a great success. The Digital Business Platform and Internet of Things along with updates on all Software AG products were highlights of the event.
Who was there?
More than 130 customers across four product platforms—Adabas & Natural, webMethods, ARIS and Alfabet—attended the TechEd conference sponsored by our partners: CloudGen, CrossVista and VEA.
Presentation highlights
Software AG’s North America CTO, Mighael Botha introduced Software AG’s Digital Business Platform and explored how customers can “Stand out and be noticed: accelerate and innovate faster to beat the competition.” This was an excellent in depth introduction to the world’s first platform that addresses today’s rapidly digitizing economies and new competitive landscape. It focuses on fostering co-innovation between Software AG, partners and customers to quickly develop and deploy adaptive and differentiating applications and business solutions.
A highlight from the Adabas & Natural track featured Principal Systems Engineer Eric Wood exploring how enterprises can extend their core applications to mobile devices with Mobile Enabler for Natural. Of course, Becky Albin delivered the very popular Adabas 8.3 Master Class to a full room of participants in an extra session after the main conference.
Adabas 8.3 Master Class attendance reiterates high use of the fastest database in the world.
New this year was the ARIS track. The ARIS Cloud Workshop presented by Joerg Klueckmann provided great insights into the applicability of ARIS Cloud as a full-scale Business Process Analysis-as-a-Service product and demonstrated how easy it is to use. ARIS Cloud powers collaborative process improvement projects around the globe. Subscription to ARIS Cloud immediately lets people design, analyze, share and improve processes without any participation barriers.
Alfabet and webMethods were also well covered at TECHed in use cases, what’s new in recent releases and the road map ahead.
Customers get into the action
The best part of user conferences is hearing from the actual users of Software AG products. Panel discussions were facilitated by Georgia-Pacific and Rollins Corporation. Informative presentations were provided by Verizon, AAFMAA, State of Minnesota and USG Corporation. We are tremendously thankful to each for their participation in this event.
Celebrating customers
TechEd wasn’t just all work! A customer celebration party was at Kings Rosemont, where participants enjoyed good food, drink, bowling and billiards. Fun was had by all.
