Today we are announcing our vision for the future of integration - a new category of cloud-ready, AI-enabled, full-stack enterprise integration we’re calling a Super iPaaS. Made up of the two industry leading platforms, webMethods and StreamSets, it brings together all patterns of enterprise integration under one roof for the first time ever. With a Super iPaaS, you can integrate anything, anywhere, any way you want.
What makes this a game changer?
Creating a new category is a bold move. And yet we feel that this is far beyond what’s available or expected in a traditional iPaaS. Users will have app, data and B2B integration with APIs and events in a unified UI. They’ll have true cloud-first enterprise end-to-end hybrid integration from legacy systems to SaaS apps. It will be designed to function in a complex multi-cloud international environment and comply with regional data regulations. And it will leverage the power of generative AI to drive agility and productivity.
We are excited to share the key Super iPaaS capabilities coming in webMethods + StreamSets and how they will help you quickly build more sophisticated, flexible, and secure integrations.
Develop Anywhere, Deploy Anywhere
The full enterprise power of webMethods Integration Server is now available in a single product that runs in public and private cloud environments, as well as on premises. This means you will have access to the full scope of the Integration Server, including packages, services, models, advanced security, and more when building and deploying integrations in the cloud. You will now be able to build sophisticated integrations, using the tools you prefer, whether online or offline, in any cloud or on-premises platform.
Additionally, with local development, you will gain better security and efficiency. You will be able to put cloud projects into a code repository such as git, work locally offline, put it back into git, and then run your integrations in the cloud. Now your team will have improved control of versioning and branching. Plus, you will now be able to run whole or parts of your integrations on the platforms closest to your target systems, reducing latency and ensuring that data compliance is easier to achieve. You will even enjoy how the latest deployment model automatically applies updated fixes as well as the ability to pull in dependent packages for “edge” runtimes.
Central Control, Distributed Execution
We are introducing a new, single pane of glass that lets you monitor, manage, and operate integrations, APIs, or data pipelines across complex hybrid, multi-cloud infrastructures. You will now be able to control a distributed network of integrations running complex business transactions from one place, eliminating the need for separate tools. No more shadow integrations and silos.
You can now easily leverage your existing Integration Server assets in your cloud migration strategy. You don’t have to throw existing Integration Server products and services away and start from scratch. And with flexible deployment options, you can use the control plane in the cloud but run on-prem. You can even break out parts to run on the cloud little by little and maintain a central view while migrating.
Closed Loop of App and Data Integration
We are now making it possible to seamlessly connect data from any source - apps, APIs, events, and data warehouses - to harness the power of analytics and transform data into actionable insights. The next level of application and data integration within a unified platform will enable information to flow in all directions, turning your valuable insights into immediate actions.
Unified Experience Across All iPaaS Components
With our UI’s unified user experience, you will gain the ability to build and operate integrations across APIs, apps, data, B2B, and events, whether on premises or across hybrid and multi-cloud landscapes.
Having a unified experience across all your platforms will also cut down on the learning curve in a world where developers are overwhelmed with languages, frameworks, new tools, models, standards, and development principles. Plus you will gain improved governance with unprecedented observability.
Composable business architecture with APIs & events
We are making it possible to power your applications with a composable architecture that builds upon trusted, well-managed, reusable business APIs and events. You will be able to quickly assemble responsive apps that communicate across your business – to deliver better experiences to customers, employees and partners. Composable architectures will enable you to take advantage of new opportunities and events faster.
Generative AI throughout the integration lifecycle
With a new generative AI interface, you will be able to create integrations by simply asking for what you need. Eliminate the need to search for connectors, look up API docs and functions, or create loops and functions. Instead, simply prompt our AI with what you need such as: “Take X records from service A, talk to API B and create C in cloud D”. The AI assistant will not only create the integration but also start monitoring it and make sure it’s updated in case of changes in the connected systems. We want to make it possible for anyone in your organization to become an integration expert, eliminating IT bottlenecks and helping you focus on your most important projects.
