Space is added while converting to EDI string

Hi All,

While converting IS doc into string in Developer using wm.b2b.edi:convertToString service, an space is added to the data.

For eg: NAD segment should be like this NAD+BY+BILL TO ADDRESS’

After converting to string it is adding one more space,

NAD+BY+BILL TO ADDRESS’

Is this a EDI schema issue or anything else, kindly advice.

Unfortunately because HTML collapses whitespace we cannot see in your post where the extra space is located. Can you indicate the spaces with . or some other character? Or use the

[code]
tag?

Hi Rob,

Actually the NAD(2,1) should be “BILL TO ADDRESS”, i.e. there should be only one space between words BILL & TO , TO & ADDRESS.

but after converting in to string there are 2 spaces between BILL & TO , TO & ADDRESS.

hmmm i have not seen this behaviour… which wm version and which EDI version you are facing this problem??

We are using using wm 6.1 version and EDI UNEDIFACT D97A Version.
