We are facing some resistance from our Infrastructure / Security team, for using eMail adapter to read email content and generate Notification events out of it.
Right now we are using our Company MS Exchange Server to configure our adapters to, and email use IMAP only, to talk to Microsoft Exchange Server based eMail box. The argument of the SECURITY / INFRASTURE team is that an adapter needs to use a Digital certificate based authentication and not a login / password based one which is exposed.
Have any of you faced such issues with email adapters … and what is your take on this. We are almost stuck now.
