Searching for ADABAS Files across multiple databases

I’m trying to simplify the process of identifying which databases hold particular files.

We have in excess of 40 databases split between test, QA and Live environments and some file, particularly newly added, do not appear in all databases. Is there an easy way to find out from ADABAS which databases a file may be contained in? Alternatively, has anyone created a job that searches through a concatenated list of ADAREP files?

Are you using Predict to manage your database and file information? If you connect the Predict information with the live databases and files, you can quite readily determine which databases hold which files. Makes maintenance, implementation much easier, as well as providing audit trails of what was done to what and when…
