We are scoping a migration for OpenVMS to UNIX (HP or SUN) and inquiring if there are any companies that have done this and what were their pains in doing so.

Doing the very same thing right now, the only pain, if you will, is that you have to unload/decompress/move/compress/load, apart from that it’s a smooth transition.
