Detailed explanation of the problem:

We have several environments (Development / test / user acceptance test / Production) on some of the environments FIND works fine and on other I get an error.

There is a wide range of possible causes for a subcode 7, are you sure the FDT matches the DDM on the environment(s) where it fails ?

First explanation was that the file was empty. It was but adding records didn’t help, so DBA had to look elsewhere.
Field ROLLE-TYPE-FFNR was not defined as a ‘Descriptor’ in FDT and I could only see the DDM that looked fine.
