What product/components do you use and which version/fix level are you on?

What are you trying to achieve? Please describe it in detail.

Hide “Location” on dashboard of devices in cockpit.
Is that possible wihout build new version of a cockpit?
If not, how to achieve that? Best would be to hide something like “Location” depending on a group or something else.

Have you installed all the latest fixes for the products and systems you are using?

The Location tab only appears if the device has a c8y_Position fragment. Do you want to hide the tab even if this fragment DOES exist?

yes, I wanna decide when the Location tab has to be hidden.

There’s nothing ‘out of the box’ for this - it would require custom code.
