migrate from 8x to9x

we have upgrade from 8x to 9x in windows 8 environment using overinistalation .how we have to upgrade data from 8x to9x how many ways we have please explain abot that

Hi Naresh,

Better you should specific what ‘x’ means in mentioning versions 8x and 9x, because 8x can mean 8.0, 8.22 and similarly 9x can mean 9.0, 9.5, 9.6.

If once you are specific about versions, then to get the possible options between your source and version, you need to refer to Upgrade guide of your target release.

For 822 to 95, you have direct side-by-side upgrade path. Please see the below 9.5 upgrade guide for 822 to 9.5.

Starting from 95 release, OverInstallation is not supported from SoftwareAG.

are you sure about that it is not possible for overinistalation from 8.2.2 to 9.5

I dont know wheather OverInstall is possible or not…

But that is not tested by SoftwareAG. What ever is written in the upgrade guide is tested and recommended procedure by softwareAG… If you try any other approach like overInstall for 822 to 95, that will not be supported if any issue come or if something goes wrong…
