Generate HTML Forms from XSD

X-Application Version: 3.1.3
Tamino Version : 3.1.2.1
Platform : Win2k
WebContainer : Tomcat 3.3
JDK Version : 1.3.1

With X-Application you can generate the standard browse and CRUD functionality for a Tamino doctype, which is great ;-), but now I would like to do the same for a non-Tamino related schema.

If x0application is not able to generate from a non-tamino related xml schema, can anyone tell me if there’s a server side solution for this particular problem.

Via the Web I found JaxFront (which also seems to be able to generate a Swing application) and FormSix (only supports DTD + some proprietary extension for data validation)? The first one is rather expensive and the last one (Open Source) is a bit limited.

Kind regards,
Rudolf

Hello.

When I understand you right, you want to have the possibility to generate an application without Tamino.

Could you give me more details about this application?
- Is query/browse functionality required?
- Is updating existing XML documents required?
- Is creating new XML documents required?
- Does this application access Tamino?

I don?t know another tool (JaxFront you already mentioned) for a schema based application generation. However, with more details about your requirements we could give you a hint how to adapt a generated X-Application.

Bye,
Christian.
