developement tools on Linux OS

Hi,
I do not know if this is the right forum for my question, but the webMethods Suite is locked.

Can the development tools (Developer, Designer) be used on a Linux OS?

Has anyone tried to use them on Linux, if yes, on what distribution?

Hi,

Unfortunately, from the Designer’s System Requirements I can see that only Microsoft platforms are supported:

Any chance this will change? After all, the Designer and the Developer are both Java based.

It looks like the Suite of tools on Designer is collectively targeting Q2-Q3 of this year for support of Designer on Linux.
