Is the BPM supposed to do the following?
I have created two processes. One is reference by the other. Both processes uses the same IS document in input/outputs across the entire process, but with different filters.
When I enter the referenced process and change data in the document, the data is not reflected when I go back to the father process.
Is that supposed to happen?

Your referenced process needs to have the document as input and output. That means it has a receive step that receives the document and a publish step that sends the document back. It your parent process your subprocess step has the document as input and output. This way you get the result of the processing back to the subprocess.
