I have Natural 633, Adabas 613, and NDV 22 (plus Web IO) running under WinXP and SuSE Linux 10. Now I want to set up an RPC server.

The documentation contains phrases like “in case of an EntireX Broker node” and makes reference to Entire Net-Work nodes. This implies that installation of EntireX Broker is not strictly required, but I don’t have Entire Net-Work, either.

Are EntireX Broker and/or Entire Net-Work required to implement an RPC server? I’ve configured a server, but I receive the following error messages as it tries to come up:

EntireX Broker is required.

A couple of years ago there was a 2nd supported protocol, called CSCI, this used Entire Net-work as the transport mechanism, and didn’t require EntireX.
