always the remote clinet generator GUI shows up

X-Application Version: 3.1.3
Tamino Version : 3.1.2
Platform : Win2k
WebContainer : Tomcat 4.0.6
JDK Version : 1.3.1_06
HTTP server : 1.3.27

problem: always the remote client generator GUI shows up.
info: my APACHE/TOMCAT env is configured in the way, that the port_no as part of the URL is not allowed and working. this lead to the fact, that always the remote client generator is GUI is shown up, when requesting the xapplication generator.
question: is this intentionally or is this a bug?
how to overcome this without reconfi-
guring the APACHE/TOMCAT env?

thanks for any comments

What is the URL you use to invoke the generator?

If I remember correctly, the normal gui is uses only if the hostname is ‘localhost’. Otherwise, the remove gui is used.

Yes,

it’s true. The normal/local gui will only be displayed when addressing a local Tamino(localhost).

Bye Thorsten

thanks for the information.
at the begin i used hostname as my APACHE/TOMCAT
was configured for this. i reconfigured this to use localhost as well. now it is working.

thanks

Hello,

with the new Generator GUI of X-Application 4.1.1, there is no difference between remote and local mode.

Bye,
Christian.
